Many visitors ask for the secret behind our rodeo success. When its all said and done, you can give credit to the quality of people involved. The Rodeo Committee and the many other volunteers are determined to make That Famous Preston Night Rodeo a memorable experience for all that participate.

Volunteers
Why do the Preston Rodeo volunteers turn out every year? They say its the pleasure of participation, the fun of the event, and the family tradition. Volunteers work on every aspect of our rodeo from the board to the ticket takers. It's been like that for 75 years. Many of the volunteers have worked at their jobs 30 years or more. Without them, we wouldn't have a rodeo worthy of the name That Famous Preston Night Rodeo. Volunteers work hundreds of hours during the year for the rodeo. Our rodeo's lifeblood is it's volunteers

Stock Contractors

Bar T Rodeo Company

Pro Rodeo is a competitive sport between cowboy contestants and healthy rodeo animals, bucking horses, bulls, steers and calves. The people who breed, raise and care for those animals are known as the stock contractors and are perhaps the single most important factor in the production of a successful rodeo.

The Bar T Rodeo Company was founded in the Red Rocks of Moab, Utah over 60 years ago by Cowboy Hall of Famer D.A. Swanny Kerby and his wife Verda. Swanny brought some of the early rodeos to Utah and Idaho and continued to produce top quality PRCA rodeos all across the United States. He took bucking stock to the first National Finals Rodeo in 1959 in Dallas, Texas and every NFR since. Bud Kerby ahd his wife Evelyn took the Bar T to the next level making it a state icon and one of the top rodeo companies in the U.S. Bud, a saddle bronc rider and pick up man, was highly respected as one of the best bucking horse man in the industry. He built a breeding program that today is one of the most sought after horse herds in the world. Today, the Bar T Rodeo Company has been passed to the third generation and is owned by Jeff and Wendie Flitton, along wiht their son , a fourth generation family member, Cody Flitton. The Bar T could not run and operate without the help of many family members, Evelyn Kerby,k Sam and Kellie Addington, Lori and Martin Pierce who all love the family heritage and the sport of rodeo. The Bar T Rodeo family works hard maintaining the quality bucking horses and bucking bulls that the Bar T Rodeo has been known for.
